Description: Tucked away in Shanty Springs, this house is a delightful place for you and your family to stay and get away from it all! This mountain home sits at an elevation of 4,000 ft. and backs up to Grandfather Mountain and Shanty Springs Creek. Venture out and enjoy the outdoors with the creek and fire-pit in the back and some of the most wonderful hiking in the High Country, or stay indoors to relax and enjoy this quaint, kid-friendly cabin. The main floor features the kitchen, dining room, breakfast nook, 1 / 2 bathroom, and living room while the upstairs features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The living room is cozy with a rock, wood burning fireplace, cathedral ceiling, and a flat screen television. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare a meal and has been updated with new appliances, or cook your meal outside on the charcoal grill and have s’mores by the fire-pit for dessert. The primary bedroom is spacious with a king size bed and private bathroom. The other two bedrooms have a full size bed and bunk beds (full on bottom and twin on top) and a twin and share a bathroom. Bring your kids and enjoy use of the high chair, pack n play, two gates, plastic cups/bowls, games (entry closet), and, of course, the outdoors. Dogs allowed; pet fees apply (2 dogs maximum). Location: This Cabin is centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock in the Foscoe area. The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University. If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. Some other things people enjoy are shopping, antiquing, skiing, golfing and miniature golfing, zip lining, go-karts, and gem mining.
