the couch in the living room was a sofa sleeper and very uncomfortable to sit on. The small TV was very high up and difficult to watch. During our stay the setting sun blasted through the windows because there weren't any curtains or blinds on the living room windows and door facing West.

The only real problem we had was a bad smell in the living room. My wife says it smelled like a dead, rotting animal. The maintenance man suggested that it might be gas leaking since the tank was recently filled.

A few minor faults with the property. 1. sheets on master bed do not fit properly - bottom sheet 2. bathroom GFI receptacle keeps clicking off - could be important. 3. Carpeting and furniture is getting pretty old.

Enjoyed our stay and the unit was nice. The view is beautiful. A few items for consideration. I believe this is the first unit we have stayed in at Echota in the Ridge over the last 10 years or so without a TV in either the Master or Guest Bedroom. Highly recommend that addition. The cable boxes were there in those rooms, however.. The blankets for the Master Bedroom king size bed were not made for a king size bed and were difficult for two people to share. Unbelievable view! Quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. Cozy living room with warm fireplace, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, large deck, and more. Amenities were great. The amenities listed with this property included a DVD player, so we brought DVD's with us to watch, but couldn't.
I also couldn't get the fireplace to light and it would have been nice to sit in front of the fire at least on Christmas Day!

We were very, very pleased with our vacation at Echota on the Ridge and will be back! One thing to note, we had trouble with the air condition in our unit. We could not get it to come on. We called maintenance after hours when we arrived on Friday evening and were told it was not an emergency. That was understandable. Maintenance arrived Saturday afternoon and said that the thermostat was on a timer so he adjusted and said it should be working fine. It still never came on after he left. The weather w

The unit was very clean. There was everything that you would need for a short visit! The unit had a great view as well. The mattress,in the master bedroom,though was extremely uncomfortable. We enjoyed our stay at your property. The condo was clean and the view was wonderful. We could not have asked for a better view. Our only complaint was the bed in the master bedroom had a horrible squeak. Anytime one of us rolled over during the night or even moved in the bed it made a loud noise. We were surprised the living room did not have any way to block that afternoon sun. We understood wanting to be mindful of that view, but that afternoon sun was blinding in the living room. We also were very surprised at the amount of heat that came in through those windows because of the sun? We live in Florida and we even know about ultra low E windows that do not allow a temperature transfer from the outside world.

My only complaint would be a very squeaky bed in the master bedroom- every time we moved, it squeaked really loud and since we had our baby in the pack and play next to us who woke up every time,no one got much sleep. The condo was comfortable to stay in but needed a little bit more cleaning. Specifically there were cobwebs where the walls met the ceiling in a lot of areas, the master bedroom being one of them.

Property was good overall but a few things that bothered me included: 1) no internet access - well cell coverage is spotty, you should be providing access for all guests. 2) There were many spider webs, some old, some newer inside the condo unit. It needs better cleaning. 3) Kitchen was lacking cutting knives and you shouldn't require all dishes to be put away in your checkout procedures. We stayed at Echota on the Ridge...it far exceeded our expectations! We will be back for sure! Our children wanted us to move there (ages 5 and 7). Not that it was a major issue, but would have liked wireless internet and up to date televisions. Modern TVs allow laptops with HDMI outputs plugged into them and can be used as monitors or an addition video source. Personal Netflix and Hulu can be streamed.

If you look at the amenities list on the web description you see wireless internet clearly stated on a separate line. Only after finding there is no wireless internet in the unit, do you see that the wireless internet comment refers to the clubhouse mentioned on the line above. Very misleading. Lack of WiFi in the unit would have have precluded me from renting this unit and I feel like I was mislead.

Air conditioner did not work on arrival. Arrived late in the day on Sunday. Left voicemail explaining problem. Left on Wednesday morning and unit still not fixed. Was not offered another unit or any other options. Asked for a discount on the stay and as of July 1 was told waiting on the owner for final decision. Would like to have seen a little more control of the situation.

The A/C lacked some power. It would seem to push cool air, but the temperature while running never got below 74 degrees. Good thing we where on the side to get a nice breeze from the valley. Everything else was fine.
