Whether you prefer snuggling up by the gas log fireplace in the recliner or soaking in the serene view of Grandfather Mountain from the private deck, this 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condominium offers an ideal getaway. Fully equipped with three televisions, a VCR, DVD player, washer, dryer, ceiling fans in both bedrooms, and a full kitchen, Hawks Peak 203 ensures convenience and comfort for all guests. Sleeping up to 6 people, the primary bedroom boasts a king bed, the guest room features two twins, and the living room includes a sleeper sofa. Please note that this unit maintains a strict no-smoking policy, and while pets are not permitted (with the exception of owners), you'll enjoy the added luxury of central air conditioning, a unique feature among Hawks Peak Condos.

The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University. If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. I was disappointed that the property said central air and it was falsely advertised. I also had 2 days without electric and 1 day without internet. Aside from that, the condo was very pleasant and well equipped. They could have offered a token gift for my inconvenience

Everything about the property was fantastic, with one exception. My daughter had bites on her neck and back that appear to be from bed bugs. I would highly recommend having this addressed quickly so that nobody else encounters this issue. Thank you!

We really enjoyed this property. It is located around a lot of places to see and do. The views from the balcony of Grandfather Mountain were awesome. Condo is roomy. Kitchen is loaded with pretty much all you need to cook or entertain. King bed is comfortable. Twin beds are okay. I saw a posting earlier about the artificial plants and the room they take up. I agree. We will use this property again for sure.

As mentioned in some of the reviews the guest bedroom has too much furniture in it. I had to move a huge plant (dust collector) and plant stand into a closet to create more space and the dresser and mirror should go too. Renters need surface space and room for luggage. This unit has too many knick knacks in my opinion. There was no can opener in the kitchen. Would be nice to have a fire whenever you want instead of it being on a thermostat, however the room temperature was nice and the water was also

Guest beds and pullout were not very comfortable. ESPECIALLY PULLOUT! had plenty of bedding and pillows. All and all nice and the kitchen appliances were updated along with necessities. Biggest suggestion would be a new pullout couch.

Guest room was a little crowded. Too much furniture in the room. Could really loose the dresser. Also could use storage or cabinet space in guest bath to put toiletries and hooks to hang your robe. Other than that, the place was great. Would stay again.

The unit met all of our expectations for the price, which we thought was a great value for the season. If there are difficulties renting this unit it may be due to noise from the unit directly above, #205 I think. Children were running and jumping from 6pm through 11pm or later every night. I think the unit is used by an owner or family rather than rented. At 11pm. 5/25 I went up to speak to someone in the unit about the noise. The housekeepers showed up before we even left, they were waiting in the parking lot and as we were coming out and getting ready to go, they asked what unit we were in and asked if we were leaving. This was about 9:30. We had forgotten my toddlers stuffed animal inside, and he said something so thankful we were still in the parking lot and went back in with the cleaners to get it. So that was a bit rushed feeling, but they were friendly.

The only things we didn't enjoy was
A) The ventless gas fireplace, which smelled bad (resembled kerosene) so we turned it off. I am not sure if all ventless fireplaces do that, but it was an unpleasant smell that left me with a headache. If there is something that we could have done to alleviate that, it would have been nice if it had been mentioned in the fireplace instructions; and,
B) The Sleep Number bed in the master bedroom. It was extremely uncomfortable to me and we knew how to adjust it, so

The king bed was not in any way fit to be slept on my husband and I could not sleep on it we had the worst night of our lives trying to sleep on that bed just needs to be replaced. but everything else was wonderful.

The king bed was set at VERY firm and was so uncomfortable. We did not see the note in the contract that it was a sleep numbered bed --a note should be left in the unit about this bed. We did not sleep well on the bed and only found the control unit under the bed on checkout. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. This is our 5th year at Hawk's Peake and we enjoy this area very much. We would like to reserve this unit again for next year's Highland Games the 2nd weekend in July. Cheers! Don & Sandra :o)

The bed in the master bedroom was broken. It is a sleep number bed, that was not functioning properly. I suffered through it but my wife slept on the couch. The bed was very uncomfortable.

Complained twice about the noise made when both toilets flushed. After flushing it sounded like a horn was blowing for about 15 seconds. Anyone in the apartment knew whenever a person used the toilets. Nothing was ever done about this.

No dish soap provided. Dirty dishes. The hot water should be looked at b/c my child was scalded either because there were two showers being taken at the same time and an imbalance in the hot water or b/c the toilet was flushed causing the hot water to get extremely hot all of a sudden....other than that our stay was great.
