This was our fourth year of staying at this property for the month of August. We like this unit for several reasons including the location, view, easy entrance, and other things. But the main bedroom mattress is worn out and sags badly. It definitely needs replacement. Everything else is satisfactory except that the ice maker isn't working but we bought bags of ice at the Dollar store just a mile away.

This property is quite dated. The appliances are adequate but that's all. The ice maker doesn't work which isn't a problem when there are just 2 people but could have been if we had guests. The fact should be disclosed in the property description. The dish washer is ancient and doesn't do a great job. The dining table chairs are really bad. You are sitting on the frame. They should be reupholstered or some cushions added in the meantime.

The ice maker does not work. I purchased ice cube trays and left them filled for the next renters. But when the owner has someone to come to fix it, please let her know that the motor and the "dumping" features work. In other words, the only problem is that the interior tray does not fill with water. It makes the sound for the water coming in, in a few hours it makes the sound for dumping the ice, then it makes the sound for filling again, etc. She does not need to purchase a new motor, which someone w

This was our second year of renting this unit for the month of August. We like the location, easy to go up and down to access the main road Rt. 105, and the central position in relation to Boone, Sugar mountain, Banner Elk and other spots we enjoy. We really like the walk in access with no stairs to deal with. We also liked the new couch which has been put in recently . Otherwise the A/C had a problem which was quickly addressed. We have stayed in various properties on Sugar mountain and Foscoe. This is our favorite for several reasons, easy to get to , no stairs , quiet with a decent view. The only complaint we have is that the couch needs to be replaced. It's old and very uncomfortable. The recliner is ok but it too could be better. Otherwise this unit is fine.

The couch in the living room was old and worn out. We had to sit on pillows with towels on top of them to get any cushioning. I would strongly recommend that the owners replace the couch.
Everything else about the unit was excellent. We are staying in this unit again next year. That is why we hope the couch is replaced.

The property was clean and comfortable. I like the location. The only issue was that we could not connect to the internet through the WiFi. We could connect to the WiFi but still could not connect to the internet. That is a major issue when you have to do work.

Our rental until could use an upgrade on bed linens. The comforters were clearly not a washable kind and it made us uncomfortable in the age of covid. We have really appreciated it this year when we find cotton bedding that is washed between stays. Sheets, blankets and coverlets. Also no nightstand on far side of king sized bed made it much less comfortable to use.

This property was superbly furnished and located. Response to any small discrepancy was immediate by maintenance staff. We highly recommend Echota and Foscoe Rentals. We especially enjoyed using both the indoor and outdoor pools and the fitness centers.

For a three month renter a regular ironing board would be nice. For a three month renter the chair and sofa were not very comfortable. They have lost their support. A week end rental might not have a problem with the chair and sofa but for someone renting for a longer period of time they leave a little to be desired.

Long term rental: A extra set of sheets for the master bedroom. Found blanket and mattress pad soiled. We washed the mattress pad. Did not use the blanket. A/C should have been inspected before season. Drain pipe was plugged and caused the pan to run over because the float switch did not work. Heavy cleaning of the unit before season starts. Full size ironing board.

Really, it exceeded our expectations. A lovely place and we will return. Our only concerns were about:
1) trash -- it is really inconvenient to remove the trash from the unit, we had to drive bags of our trash to the dumpster upon checkout. Could there be a better way?
2) recycling -- UNACCEPTABLE that such a beautiful place, clearly embracing the environment, does not have a recycling program. Please put one in place
3) mantle over fire place -- in our unit, it juts out about 18 inches and it is very
