Description: Enjoy a beautiful view of mountain living from this rugged timber frame one bedroom condo located in Chalakee, within Echota Resorts. This condo features a covered front entry and rear deck with an amazing Grandfather Mountain view. The view can be admired from the deck or from the large picture windows in the open kitchen and living room areas. The kitchen features custom kitchen cabinetry, granite countertops, hardwood floors, and stainless-steel appliances. It is fully equipped with everything to prepare a meal inside or outside on the built-in-gas grill. The living room is cozy and inviting with a cultured stone gas fireplace, hardwood floors, comfortable furniture and a TV. Stay for a weekend to relax or an extended period and enjoy all the High Country has to offer. This condo is on the bottom floor (downstairs) with an elevator. In case of power outages or elevator equipment malfunctions, the condo will be stair access only.
Resorts' Amenities: Amenities in these gated resorts include indoor and outdoor (seasonal May 1 - Oct. 1) swimming pools with hot tubs, two private clubhouses, fitness rooms, stocked fishing ponds, a 23-acre riverfront park, community hiking trails and catch and release fishing.
Location: This Resort is centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock in the Foscoe area. If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. We were disappointed in the fact that for a 7 night stay we had 2 trash bags, 2 dishwasher tablets, no hand soap in the bathroom, no laundry soap at all and 1&1/2 rolls of toilet paper. That's not a standard for VRBO & AirB&Bs. The accommodations and facilities were amazing and we certainly will be back. It's such a beautiful mountain retreat with great vista views. If the supplies are from the owner please pass that on to them.

Yes, there were ants all over the counter in the kitchen
The water filter for the refrigerator was on red
You had to travel too far to the indoor or outdoor pool
I also forgot some items and called and said someone would be in contact me to get my address and credit card number to ship to me and that still has not been done

The fob for the pool was not working. Someone let us in, but we couldn't use it another day due to it not working and no one around. Plus the office was closed on Easter. Also it would be nice to have shampoo and conditioner bottles. In the prior emails it says there are toiletries but didn't specify what was available.

This is a nice property that we have stayed in before. My only problem has been the toaster oven which is not user friendly. I suggest providing the operating instructions or getting another toaster oven that is simple to operate.

We love this unit and have rented it 4 years during the summer months.
A couple bagged lawn chairs would be appreciated to take advantage of the outdoor concerts.
hen changing the pillow cases, noted that the king bedroom pillows need to be replaced as they are almost completely covered in sweat stains.

Beautiful property, well built, with awesome views. I had read others had had issues with WiFi, and we did as well as it never worked the entire time we were there, and in this area during this time of year, there was little to no cell service, so it made researching and making decisions on dinner and event planning very difficult. We called in a Maint Request, but the WiFi issue was never resolved. The issue appears to be with the internet provider as the wifi router worked and the ssid could be logged

Everything was beautiful and well appointed. We loved our stay. The only thing is the shower head is a little tall for short people or people with disabilities. But we would definitely stay again. We just loved the property and the area eventhough we only live an hour away.

We loved the location of this condo and the views of Grandfather Mountain were amazing! The condo is a one-bedroom so is small although very adequate for a couple. The decor is dark which makes the quarters seem even smaller. I would not choose to rent this condo again for this reason. This would be a very simple fix if the owners chose to "brighten up" their condo!

I would like to mention that the bed comforter had a rancid smell maybe due to not drying completely after washing. I recommend that LED bulbs be used for better lighting, especially in the main bathroom. And the shower head is positioned extremely high so unreachable if you need to adjust. My husband that's 5'11' had difficulty in reaching the shower head.

Love this property. Great view of Grandfather Mountain from the deck. Also liked the double vanity in the bathroom and the large glassed-in shower. Decor was modern and inviting. Look forward to staying here again!

Very lovely condo with a fantastic view. My only recommendation is more oven proof or microwaveable cookware, I.e. casserole type and smaller wine glasses. I look forward to staying in this unit again!

Beautiful view of Grandfather mountain-- lovely condo inside too.
The only suggestion we have (and this is minor) is that we are tea drinkers and didn't have an easy way to boil water, apart from putting individual mugs into the microwave or heating a pot on the stove and trying to pour it into cups. A tea kettle would be a lovely addition to the kitchen items!

Web have been renting properties in your development for about 5-6 years and we are very pleased with what we have had. This recent 1 Bedroom condo was excellent and extremely clean and well kept. We were very pleased and are coming back at end of month into a 3 bedroom condo in Chalakee for a week and looking forward to having another great experience. We are also going to be looking at properties in the area.

Surround sound system no instructions on how to use it
No instructions on how to light fireplace
Kuerig would be better in kitchen
2 light bulbs were out - one in bathroom and one in lamp near couch

The property was immaculately clean. Everything was just as described. What a beautiful place. The view was absolutely breathtaking from the balcony. The extra pullout couch was very comfortable. I highly recommend this place and Foscoe Rental property. We will definitely come back. Thank you for a memorable stay.
