Description: Enjoy a beautiful view of mountain living from this rugged timber frame one bedroom condo located in Chalakee, within Echota Resorts. This condo features a covered front entry and rear deck with an amazing Grandfather Mountain view. The view can be admired from the deck or from the large picture windows in the open kitchen and living room areas. The kitchen features custom kitchen cabinetry, granite countertops, hardwood floors, and stainless-steel appliances. It is fully equipped with everything to prepare a meal inside or outside on the built-in-gas grill. The living room is cozy and inviting with a cultured stone gas fireplace, hardwood floors, comfortable furniture and a TV. Stay for a weekend to relax or an extended period and enjoy all the High Country has to offer. This condo is on the bottom floor (downstairs) with an elevator. In case of power outages or elevator equipment malfunctions, the condo will be stair access only.
Resorts' Amenities: Amenities in these gated resorts include indoor and outdoor (seasonal May 1 - Oct. 1) swimming pools with hot tubs, two private clubhouses, fitness rooms, stocked fishing ponds, a 23-acre riverfront park, community hiking trails and catch and release fishing.

Fantastic view from a comfortable location. The elevator is wonderful! Good info provided in the unit. The kitchen lacks some usual supplies (pizza pan, cookie sheet, microwave dishes, etc). Additional flatware would be helpful. Perhaps I'm a "neatnik" but a good deep cleaning (cabinets, floors, etc) would make the unit even more appealing.

This property was very comfortable, nicely furnished and had a great view. The one thing that would prevent us from wanting to stay here again was the very low water pressure at all faucets especially the shower.

The unit was very well appointed, except for the love seat, which we found to be WAY TOO LOW when you sit in it, and very hard to get up from.

We like this property and have stayed there before. It appears that whoever stayed there previously (more than a week earlier) must have left debris in the disposal, because the unit was full of fruit flies for our entire stay. The sliding door to the balcony is impossible to lock and should probably be repaired.
Our stay, other than that was quiet and pleasant, except the smoke (which is why we left early), but we realize that is no one's fault. We'll be back.

A woman entered our unit with knocking during the evening of our second day. She did not identify herself. Was she coming to clean, use the unit, or possibly steal from us?
Maintenance entered our unit during the morning of checkout without knocking.
Do you not communicate to others when units are occupied? We did not feel like we had privacy during this stay. We have stayed here twice now but may be reluctant to return based on this stay.

Only three small issues:
Gas log fireplace controls were removed and could not turn on.
Specks of dirt of mildew on the shower curtain liner. Could scratch off with fingernail.
Washer did not go through full wash cycle and I had to do a separate rinse and spin cycle.

Gas grill igniter did not work even after service tech came twice. Just old and worn more than likely. Able to get it going with striker so could still use.
Only one old, scratched, and warped frying pan. Limited silverware and many chipped dishes. Nothing major, just annoying. Dishwasher basket likely reason for chipped dishes as it does not smooth roll and must be lifted out over the open door to avoid a major bounce.
I write these comments not to complain, but so you can do what you can to make better

The water was turned off when we arrived. We panicked a little since we arrived after hours, but we contacted the security person and she immediately helped us and turned on the water. Maybe let the guests know in advance that they will have to turn on the water with instructions, so they won't be blindsided? Outside of that, everythine was wonderful and we loved our stay!

We stayed here before but there are a few items we feel it needs now. In the kitchen there are 4 spoons, 4 knives, but 8 forks. Also, there are no leftover containers and a very scratched fry pan. The bed comforter is very lumpy and in our opinion needs to be replaced. Plus the TV instructions are outdated. The grill igniter lights the one burner but the other burners don't light.

Nice place with an excellent view. I would say that with not much investment it could be furnished with better quality utensils and every day tools, appliances, spices etc. The toaster for example is a joke in quality and barely works. (Would not eject toast, which I found borderline dangerous)

Everything was fine.
My one complaint would be was that the dishes didn't seem to be clean. Bowls and glasses had fingerprints. It was like they were not washed thoroughly.
Everything was well stocked which was nice.
My husband went into the main office to ask for directions to the outdoor pool. He was not pleased with how he was spoken to by office staff.

Really loved staying here. It was really quiet and nice. Beautiful view from balcony but there is a tree that could be cut that looks like has recently grown up. Still a beautiful view but if that small tree was cut it would be a little better. Other than that it was perfect and we will return again.

The view of Grandfather Mountain was breathtaking and we loved it. Our only negative was too much furniture in such a small living room and no sofa to lay on. A love seat doesn't substitute for a sofa. Also, please check the water pressure in the shower. It could be better.

This property was very well maintained, clean, and furnished. The only things we would suggest is that the owner install a full length mirror for dressing, inside the bedroom door, or closet door. It would also help to have higher wattage lights in the bathroom, as ladies need more lighting when preparing.

We noticed a few things, easy to correct for the most part.....I read that there would be makeup wipes and two large kitchen bags, but we were one garbage bag short and had no makeup wipes. I called in advance to see if there was a hair dryer and there wasn't a note on it, however, there was one there. That would of been nice to know. When showering before getting in the indoor pool, it never got warm. It was pretty miserable. Also, the outside light (which we had no control) shone into the bedroom an

A smaller(ie.,thinner) couch and/or round dining table would help to open up space and reduce crowding. These items were very good pieces but took up space. Not a major problem!

The bath room is uncomfortably small. The kitchen rug was really stained as was the bathroom rug. I laundered the bathroom rug before we walked on it. There was no frying pan and I found this out when I needed to salute onions. I reported all of this to the office (Monica) and she was not the least bit helpful. The air conditioner stopped working and was not repaired before we left. The towels were new and had not been laundered before placing them for us to use. I also had to launder them before we u

This was a nice unit. I would only have two suggestions: purchase a frying pan and clean the ceiling fan in the bedroom. The refrigerator filter also indicated it needed to be changed. I had to cook my egg in a saucepan for lack of a frying pan. I would stay here again.

The only issue that we had with this property were that the bathrooms were not well stocked. We had to wash towels and wash clothes and there was no extra toilet paper at all. Other than these two small issues, this is a beautiful property.

Unit was gorgeous and very clean. Loved everything about it. The only (minor) thing was we couldn't find pillowcases for the extra pillows that were in the closet. The grill was great. Wonderful accommodations, very lovely condo! We will definitely return to your properties. One thing that I did find that I needed was a hairdryer to use in the unit. I went out to purchase one and will remember to bring one the next time I rent the same property.
