Description: Arroyito is a delightful cabin with a beautiful natural setting located near all of the high country's towns and best attractions. This log cabin will comfortably sleep up to 6 people (and your furry friend is welcome too) with two well furnished sleeping areas. Both areas have flat screen televisions and bathrooms. There is a bedroom on the main floor with a queen size bed and the loft/bedroom has a king size bed and a futon. The living room features a full floor to ceiling fireplace, comfortable furniture, and a flat screen HDTV. The kitchen is fully equipped with all accessories necessary to prepare a gourmet meal. Fresh mountain air and much relaxation can be enjoyed from the large screened in porches on the front and the back of the cabin. Enjoy making s'mores by the shared fire-pit. There are only 3 steps to get into the cabin, ample parking, charcoal grill, wireless internet, no cable but streaming services, washer and dryer, and even an I-Pod dock for your convenience. Guests of the Lakes Community have access to stocked, catch and release ponds and the Seven Devils Community playground and tennis courts. Dogs are welcome with fees (Maximum 2 dogs).

Location: This cabin is located in quaint Seven Devils, on the same mountain as Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Ziplining, and centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock in the Foscoe area. The Seven Devils community offers public basketball and tennis courts along with a children's playground. The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University. If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. Some other things people enjoy are shopping, antiquing, skiing, golfing and miniature golfing, ziplining, go-karts, and gem mining.

We've stayed at this property several times over the years. Enjoy the location and the setting. Quiet and easy access to Banner Elk and Boone.
Might suggest trimming hedges in front of the porch. It's such a great view but it is obstructed by the taller hedges. However, this may be the owners preference. The only other comment is that the area around the fire pit could use a trim as well.

It worked well for my first time - TV streaming was difficult- not normal for visitors.
Would recommend a back brace of the gas grilling on the decking - Pole or fence to avoid tip overs.

We had a wonderful time. The property was as described and the photos in vrbo allowed us to determine what to bring. Kitchen had everything we needed as well. The loft was amazing and the bed was very comfortable (i noted a prior review that indicated it was 2 doubles pushed together but that was not the case). The couch and chairs were comfortable and we enjoyed the fireplace immensely. Due to the temperatures we did not get to enjoy the back porch, hammock, nor the front porch and swing. We will be

My wife and I were very pleased with the Arroyito cabin. It gave us a sense of camping out for a few days while also not really "roughing it!"
The cabin was well appointed and very comfortable.

I know this cabin was pretty well rented during this season, and because of turnover there are small things that don't get taken care of because of timing. Cabin was very nice, warm and friendly atmosphere, we were well pleased with furniture & overall amenities provided with Cabin. Was well worth the price for the stay based on the fall season when we rented it. Only real issue was the cleanliness of the cabin, there we cobwebs in the light fixtures & dust around fireplace and corners, not really bad, b

Lovely cabin with gorgeous views of the woods and old barn. The space was private, clean, comfortable, well-stocked, and made a great home away from home. The owners have put a lot of thought and care into the cabin. We especially enjoyed the hammock on the screened patio and listening to the little stream from the front porch swing when it rained. Very relaxing! Highly recommend for couples and small families looking for a peaceful retreat.

Home was very well equipped, plenty of firewood which we used almost daily. Comfortable cabin, king bed comfortable, bedding/linens older but adequate. Dining room table overhead lamp very dull, made living/dining area dark. Got a puzzle to put together during our stay, and it was hard to do due to poor lighting. Turned on extra lights all around to try to compensate. Maybe just needed higher wattage bulbs, because it had a dimmer which could be turned down if less lighting was desired. Our weather wa

We have been renting in the Lakes Community and renting from Foscoe for 10 years. Foscoe Rentals has been absolutely wonderful. Two years ago, my husband had to go to Johnson City for medical treatment. Much paperwork was required prior to his appointment. Foscoe Rentals faxed and took care of everything. And they did it cheerfully. I cannot say enough good things about all of them.

We truly loved our stay at the Kingfish (Deluxe) Cabin. It's really more than a cabin. It's a lovely home. Some commenters said it was dark inside and it was dim, BUT it's surrounded by woods! We did not mind at all. We would love to come back again! Bravo, Foscoe and owners! This one is a gem.

The only very minor feedback I would give is that the "check-out" procedures are lengthy and a bit much for "vacation" - we were happy, as I am sure most are, to leave the cabin in great shape and ready for next occupancy; however, as we were on vacation, we thought having to take out trash and clean and put away dishes was a bit much!

We LOVED staying at KingFish Cabin. The cabin was beautiful, well stocked, and is in the perfect central location to all we enjoy when we visit the High Country. Adorable little cabin that was great in size for us two couples. My ONLY complaint is the EXORBITANTLY increased rate for "leaf-looking" season. Adding salt to the wound was the fact that peak season had obviously passed. I feel like we should have gotten a rebate for that reason alone!

I would change all of the above statements to STRONGLY agree. Our stay in the KIngfish Cabin was delightful. The owners were so considerate providing many things (trashbags, dishwasher detergent, etc) that were not expected. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and the kitchen appliances were superior with a quiet running dishwasher that was much appreciated. Addtitionally, we enjoyed the screened in back porch; it is beautiful out there, expecially in the hammock. We saw wildlife there--deer, etc.

There was a dead mouse on the floor when we arrived - he was by the back door between the kitchen and dining areas. I called the office to let them know. We didn't have any other rodent issues during our stay. Wireless internet didn't work - a password was required that was not provided. We had to unplug the wireless router and connect to the modem directly. Not a big deal, but just FYI. The bed was a little hard, but that's just personal preference. Overall, the place was fantastic! Very relaxing!

We love the floor plan of this cabin - perfect balance of amenities and simplicity! We'd love to come back in the summer (or winter again). We were just able to keep it warm enough downstairs (weather in the high 20's), so I might not choose to come during very cold winter weather. But what a lovely spot (and BARN - wow!).
