Amenities: Guests of the Lakes Community have access to stocked catch-and-release ponds and a playground and tennis courts in the Seven Devils Community.
Location: This cabin is located in quaint Seven Devils, on the same mountain as Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Ziplining, and centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock in the Foscoe area. The Seven Devils community offers public basketball and tennis courts along with a children's playground. The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University. If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. Some other things people enjoy are shopping, antiquing, skiing, golfing and miniature golfing, ziplining, go-karts, and gem mining.

This place was great, just as described and in such a pretty neighborhood with cabin. We were missing laundry detergent but seemed to have everything else mentioned in the listing which made it very easy to cook all our meals and enjoy this fully furnished house. But we did have a really hard time getting the house to heat up. We rarely got it to stay above 66-67 degrees which was cold for a snowy weekend in the teens at night. Not sure if this is normal given the type of construction (log cabin). It was al

It would be great if you included in your listing some of the things that the cabin has and what the visitor might want to bring. For example you have a regular coffee pot (so bring ground coffee, not pods). Also other things you have in the cabin for cooking. It would also be helpful to note that the visitor may want to bring some extra dishwasher pods and laundry pods if they are staying a while. I didn't see a hair dryer, but that would be nice to have there and noted.

We already submitted comments when we returned the keys, but brief, I will say: 1) I rate the cabin and our experience a 9 out of 10; 2) the cabin was a little difficult to find - house numbers are not as well marked as for other nearby cabins; 3) there were no instructions for internet. A couple of minor fixes needed. Otherwise - well-equipped, room, comfortable, quiet setting, etc.

Really loved this property and would book it again. A big thing for me is that the bed was comfortable. My husband and I slept in the upstairs bedroom. The hot tub is wonderful after a long day on the ski slopes!

When we arrived after hours, around 9:30 pm, the house was cold, because the heat had been turned completely off. With the electric base board heat, it took well into the night to warm the house. The next day was fine, but we were gone most of the day. The second night was fine.

We had a wonderful stay and hope to return. Thank you so much for having the hot tub ready to go (we have stayed at other rental properties - not Foscoe - to find a cold hot tub with instructions on how to heat it, including the expected wait time. Not good.)

We had a great time and would stay here again. The hot tub was very relaxing. It's about a 20 minute drive to Beech Mountain. Close to restaurants and stores. There are some lightbulbs that need to be replaced. The pictures need to be updated. There is now a leather couch in the living room and the upstairs loft has a new pullout couch. There are no longer two couches as seen in the upstairs loft picture. Only one couch! The driveway is long and gets icy. If you're traveling during snow, 4 wheel drive

The couch and leather chair in the living room are not too comfortable. They seem to be at the end of their life because the seat offers little support.
The kitchen is very well equipped and its great to have lots of seating, though there were only two of us.

Regulator on grill needs replacing
Mattress on fold out bed poor/sagging
Knives not sharp
Very busy with nick nacks everywhere and furniture needs some love or replacing...downstairs couch sags, not too comfy, rocker in downstairs bedroom takes up too much room
But really a lovely cabin in a great area!

This cabin was a bit of heaven on earth. While keeping with the rustic look it had every convenience. My sister both enjoyed the relaxing hot tub, and I enjoyed the bath upstairs that had bath jets--very relaxing after a day of hiking! I would recommend this cabin to everyone-the upstairs even had a game area!

A couple of rugs were very worn and needed to be replaced. When we got there, the storm door on the front door was locked, however the key did not work on that door. We had to enter through the back door. The hot tub looked less than inviting....the cover was torn in half and held on by bunge cords. Just some little things need to be updated or fixed to make this a great rental.

1. The seating arrangement in the den/family area was not adequate or comfortable for the 5 of us (5 adults). We thought one simple solution that would make the biggest difference in the convenience of the den would be to have a sofa along with the 2 comfy club chairs and the other club chair. My Husband and I loved this property. However, the beds at this cabin are so hard! We were so uncomfortable and couldn't sleep good because of this. The cabin itself is gorgeous and well taken care of. We will rent through foscoe rentals again, but will not use this cabin due to the uncomfortable beds. (We got better sleep on the couches)

We had a great time and loved the cabin and the hot tub. We will be back soon. Only recommendation we have is the install a roll down privacy screen at each end of the back porch so when your in the hot tub the neighbors and there kids are watching you;)

We only had one dish rag, need at least one more. The kitchen trash can is an odd size and I brought trash bags and they didn't fit. You could use a standard size can. These were very miner things and we loved our visit.

We had a plumbing problem but it was fixed immedaitely when we called Foscoe. We couldn't find directions on how to operate the jacuzzi. The hot water for the showers only lasted for about 2 people and then ran out. Everything else was really wonderful! I would recommend these cabins to friends and family whole heartily.
