The modem for the internet seemed to have issues. It wasn't a big deal for us to not have internet but something Spectrum should look at and potentially replace the current modem. Internet would only come on if you reset the modem and then would only last for 30m-1hr before going out.

We love Echota and choose you above any other properties in the mountains. We did decide we would only stay in this particular property if no others were available. The living room furniture is older/worn out and would be uncomfortable anyway because it is oversized, too deep (we're short and have bad backs). The kitchen chair cushions are worn out/sunken. Overall, the unit is much darker than others--no overhead lights and one lamp per bedroom with dim bulbs.

We loved our stay at this house! Set up really well for families. We put the three kids upstairs and the parents downstairs. The bathroom upstairs was big enough to put a pack n play in which was nice for the baby. Very clean house with a very stocked kitchen ( coffee doesn't take pods just good to know). The house sleeps six to eight with a sleeper sofa , so maybe even 10. There were 6 dinner forks, 6-7 salad forks and about the same on spoons. There were water goblets and a few wine glasses but only like 6-7 12 oz glasses. There was one Foscoe Rentals plastic cup. We ended up buying some red solo cups so the younger ones could have them and not worry about dropping/breaking a glass.

We have stayed in this unit several times. We enjoy being there.
However, the unit could use a few updates. The sleeper sofa in the loft has a mattress that is not comfortable. Some of the cookware needs replacing. The no stick finish is chipping off. Also, we couldn't find any potholders and there were minimal dishcloths.

The property was awesome in general. We love staying in the neighborhood when we come up. The only thing I would suggest is making sure the property was a little bit more clean. We found a ton of hair in the shower downstairs. Also lots of hair on the sheets and pillowcases. We washed all the sheets before sleeping in them again but overall outstanding property.

This property needs gas logs. Using the fireplace was very unpleasant. It should have been advertised wood burning only. My husband is highly allergic to smoke but we wanted to use the fireplace. Thankfully, we have some experience but I doubt the majority of tenants would have knowledge and there could be dangerous issues with wood burning fire. I would only stay in this unit again if there were gas logs. See HVAC issue below.

I was VERY pleased with the unit. It looked even better than the pictures. It was perfectly adequate for myself and my two sons and their wives and their two children each. The 1/2 bath is convenient for everyone when they are downstairs. We all used the laundry facilities( small children=dirty clothes) I selected this place because of the large kitchen table so all 4 kids and an adult or two could all sit together at one time. this townhouse was nice and well-maintained. The only suggestions/request as a renter would be: more towels! There were not enough wash clothes and towels for all eight people! The unit promotes 10 people. Also, the first bed, in the room with two double beds has a HUGE "valley" in it making it impossible for two adults to share. The pull-out sleeper in the loft felt like there was no mattress on the bars. We wish we would have brought an air mattress. An extra dish towel or two would have been nice,

This was our 4th stay at Makar's Rest Townhome 21B. Even though it has a connecting town home, the way the deck and property is laid out, it is still very private and quiet. We also love that it is owned by fellow believers which we discovered due to plaques and decorations in the home and the guest book signings from guests who know the Makars. There is a peace there that only comes from Holy Spirit being invited into a home.

There were a couple of items like the light being out over the shower in the upstairs bathroom and one of the shower curtain hooks missing, the mattress in the bedroom upstairs (right of the bathroom) seemed to be about ready for replacing but that may be a personal preference to mattress types. The dryer seemed to take a really long time to dry even a small load of laundry. May want to check vent behind dryer to see of partially blocked.
My husband told your staff at check out about the large hornet's nest located under the eaves directly above the garage door to our unit. It is an active one as we saw the hornets going in and out. You may want to check to make sure it has been sprayed or destroyed, as some people are highly allergic to bee stings.

It was an amazing experience! Not sure who will see this comment but we are eternally grateful to 101st Airborne Association. The furnace/air filter was very dirty upon arrival (always check due to our daughter having allergies) but the maintenance man came and promptly changed it.
Parking was a problem due to the residents in the adjoining unit -not sure of the number of their unit- but our unit was Markar's Rest 21B. They had 4-5 vehicles and still broke the rules even after being told by the maintenance man that there were to be only 2 vehicles per unit. The only problem we encountered was adequate parking. Our families had to travel from different areas so we had to park a car at the pool area which was not a huge deal but a bit of inconvenience at times.
