This was our ninth or tenth visit to echota. What a break from the heat of eastern NC!
The WiFi was inadequate or not functioning well. Without personal use of WiFi the TV's needed to buffer frequently. We managed our private needs using our cell phones on "hot spot".
The single cup coffee system was a surprise as we brought our bean and grinder expecting a drip system.
Thanks for keeping Echota up to a high standard.
We had no interaction with office staff this time. Everything was email.

The property met our needs. Nonetheless, I suggest the owners install blinds on the three windows along the balcony wall. The glare both morning and afternoon is quite severe, especially for those who have difficulty with bright light (migraines, etc.).

This was our third stay in this beautiful condo and we plan to return again next winter. We absolutely love it! The only issue we have ever had is that it is very difficult to light the pilot in the main living area. We actually had to contact the office to have maintenance come light it and it even took him a while! He did arrive promptly and I am glad he did, because he informed us that something was wrong with the gas fireplace in the master bedroom and we should not turn it on. He said he reported it, b

Overall we were very pleased with this property. We did encounter some issues that need to be addressed:
1. The gas fireplace in the master bedroom's glass was darkened and you could barely see the flame.
2. The gas fireplace in the master bedroom was hard to light, so hard that I gave up on it.
3. One of the bedroom windows crank was stripped.
4. The TV in the den needs replacing, the volume kept coming in and out.
5. Unit would be much more energy efficient if it had a storm door.

We loved the view and location and plan to return again next year (4th time at Echota). The kitchen in this unit was the best equipped of any other locations we have rented at Echota. Our only real complaint was the peeling, bonded leather sofa with the groaning, squeaking springs and the accent chair that requires an added pillow on the seat.

I left a note when I checked out. The sofa in the living room is peeling on the back (must be fake leather) and the springs on one side seem to be going. It might be time to replace it. Also, the toilet in the master bath runs on its own sometimes. It does not leak, but something must be wrong with it. The air filter in the HVAC needs to be replaced. It is pretty dirty looking.

The property was great. The grill was in bad condition and rusted out. Foil had been used to hold part of the gas line together which was dangerous. Only half of one burner actually worked.

Property was great and the 4 of us had a good weekend. Views from porch were outstanding although we had to clean it some (sweep and web removal). The property was very clean, comfortable and one we will come back to in the future.
Everything was as expected and this was first time fresh flowers were left to enjoy during our stay. A nice added touch. We used the pool once again and had a very relaxing day.

The condo was very good. Clean, well maintained and set-up very well. The gill worked well, all needed items were available and the porch had a great mountain view. On the porch there were lots of seeds but we found that the condo above us had a bird feeder and that produced seeds on our porch and railing areas. Overall, good stay and well impressed with the unit.

This stay was beyond frustrating. As soon as we arrived we we greeted with a washing machine lid that has clearly been closed for a long time, which caused the entire area to stink. We were able to run a empty load and the smell went away. Further, the people above the unit have two bird feeders that attract an insane amount of birds that drop seed and poop all over this units deck. That is not very relaxing. Also, construction sounds most definitely ruin any opportunity to enjoy a peaceful morning cup o

Loved the high chairs on the porch that look over the railing and the view is magnificent.
A few things that could improve/need fixing:
Toilet in the master bath "ran" off and on during the night.
Grout is cracking around the tiles in the shower, esp seat.
Really missed having a nonstick skillet in the kitchen

Beautiful view! Unit was very clean. Clear directions with map helped find property easily. Didn't catch any fish the 2 times we tried but loved the fishing ponds and the opportunity to try without a fishing license.

Really was impressed with this property - the view was beautiful!! Appreciated the amenities provided - nice towels, trash bags, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, etc. The indoor pool/hot tub was very clean and well maintained. Only complaints - the gas fireplace in the master bedroom was very different than the one in the den, and the controls didn't align with the provided instructions - we were unable to get it to work. This property was so much more than we could even have imagined! When we called to make a reservation, all persons with whom I spoke were quick to send me the necessary information The condo was well equipped and comfortable. Very nice property with nice furnishings. The internet was very spotty and was very limiting. The problem was the modem; it needs to be replaced. Also, there appears to be very little insulation between floors. We heard noise from upstairs.

I was very pleased with this property and would like to stay there again. I would recommend two things for this property: the blinds needed cleaning and it appeared the furnace filter needed to be replaced. These are minor but I just wanted to let you know.

CH4 was very well maintained and extremely clean upon our arrival. Our biggest issue was in the kitchen. We love to cook and there was only one cutting board, the knives were dull and a limited amount, the peeler did not work and there was a limited amount of cooking utensils. These issues would not deter us from renting this again. However, it could easily be remedied with the addition of these items. Additional kitchen table chairs would be nice as well.

Fantastic property where everything was first rate. We had no idea the property was located at the very top of the mountain but with our 2 Front Wheel Drive cars (not 4WD or AWD) we were able to get up and down with no issues in Jan. The furnishings were all outstanding and the view was well worth the price.

Great space! We were told that there would be "inside finishing" of the condo's near us which was not the case at all. The whole month we had construction noise. I would not have booked this particular unit if I was told that it would be loud throughout the month. I did call to the rental office to complain but NEVER received a return phone call. I did leave my cell number.

The Sofa in living room could be more comfortable. The sofa springs makes a lot of noise when you sit. Ikea has great sofas for a low price. Also the tv is hanged too high making it uncomfortable too (neck pain). At the end we did not spend time in the living room for both reasons.Next time we will look for a "lower tv" and and comfy looking sofa.

We loved staying in this condo. The views were great, everything within the condo was fantastic. The only issue we had was dealing with ants, but I believe it was just that time of year that they were coming out. We ended up buying some ant traps and that seemed to work to keep them away. I would definitely stay there again.

1. Since the couch in the living room is a sleeper it is extremely loud when sitting and moving on it. Over all the couch is comfortable, but very, very noisy.
2. The master bedroom mattress has seen its better days, as it dips too much in the middle.
3. This is the same everywhere we go, but the TV above the fireplace is far too high for the placement of the living room furniture. Luckily, we are there for the views.
4. Wonderful views, and overall Foscoe is a nicely maintained facility.

The only thing I would change would be either the checkout time or to allow guest to load the dishwasher upon leaving the unit. We felt real rushed on the date of checkout to allow us time to eat breakfast in the unit and have all the dishes washed and put back up. Every place else I have ever stayed allowed us to start the dishwasher upon departure and the cleaning crew would unload the dishwasher. Otherwise we enjoyed the unit very much.

Lovely condo. Outstanding view. We felt the kitchen was minimally equipped for our use which includes preparing some meals. Blinds needed dusting, and housekeeping took care of that promptly. The cover of the grill was dirty. We worked at cleaning it. Some rags for cleaning would have worked better than paper towels.

Property was a lovely rental, for the exception of the renters in CH6 who blasted punk music so loud at 6:30 am that it vibrated the bedrooms and we were all forced to get up 2 hours early. I might recommend they get a pizza cutter for their utensil drawer. Possibly a small i home would have been lovely for the kids. The pool was ok, but when it was adults swimming, definitely not conducive to kids. We were VERY disappointed that they advertised "fully stocked" ponds, one had nothing in it but a couple of s

The condo was beautiful! The only issue was it took us over an hour to figure out how to turn the TVs on as well as the fireplaces. We finally figured out that in the living room the cabinet door had to be open in order to change channels. It was a bit frustrating after a 10 hour drive when we just wanted to turn on a fire, TV and relax.
