Description: Enjoy a beautiful view of mountain living from this rugged timber frame one bedroom condo located in Chalakee, within Echota Resorts. This condo features a covered front entry and rear deck with an amazing Grandfather Mountain view. The view can be admired from the deck or from the large picture windows in the open kitchen and living room areas. The kitchen features custom kitchen cabinetry, granite countertops, hardwood floors, and stainless-steel appliances. It is fully equipped with everything to prepare a meal inside or outside on the built-in-gas grill. The living room is cozy and inviting with a cultured stone gas fireplace, hardwood floors, comfortable furniture and a TV. Stay for a weekend to relax or an extended period and enjoy all the High Country has to offer. This condo is on the bottom floor (downstairs) with an elevator. In case of power outages or elevator equipment malfunctions, the condo will be stair access only.

The property is always comfortable as I've rented this unit a few times. The bed is very comfortable, sheets and bathroom towels are terrific. I like the new Smart TV in the bedroom also. The property is kept up well although the rugs are getting old and dated. The new patio furniture was wonderful. I was thrilled to set it when I arrived and it help make my trip. The sleeper sofa in the living room is fine, but getting saggy in some spots.

It would be great if the owner that has the dog would put a bark collar on the dog for when he is away. His dog barked constantly when he was away. That's the only modest negative with regard to our stay.

Told the front desk at checkout about two things...
1 - The little table on the porch needs to be thrown out as it is old and unstable. Actually saw a comment about that in an online review of this property from a while ago when we booked, but the table was still there.
2 - The bed makes some really annoying wood creaking noises anytime you roll over, so it can wake you up if you or your partner move much at night. Would be nice for it to be quieter.
Other than those, the place was great and had an am

This is the second year we have spent the month June in this unit. The unit has always been clean and comfortable. The deck view of Grandfather Mountain is well worth the stay. I love to grill, so having a gas grill on the deck was a big plus, One of the burners on the grill was rusted out making that burner (burner 3) unusable. This unit is on the bottom floor and requires descending two flights of stairs to get to the entrance. An elevator is available which is a big help when moving in and departing. The

1. Bathroom sink should have a "soap dish", they are not expensive.
2. Agree that dishes should be put into dishwasher and it turned on. However, to be asked to "dry and put away the dishes" is not in keeping with other properties. Also, having us touch the dishes after they've been washed is NOT in keeping with health standards. This should stop.
3. Need clearer instructions on the fireplace use. A diagram would help.
4. 10:00 is not a reasonable check-out time for people who are on vacation and wish to

The staff, especially Monica, was very helpful. The condo was very clean with a killer view. It was very cozy and we had a relaxing stay. It was exactly as described except that we assumed it had a in suite master bath. Possible improvements for this unit - 1) additional pillows, there were only the two on the bed. Shams are not soft pillows that you can sleep with. 2) Teflon pans are excessively worn and scratched and should be discarded ( Minute Teflon flakes not safe to ingest). 3) Windows and refri

When I first got there... front light was out. I looked around and found another bulb and replaced that.. putting up groceries noticed top of refrigerator was caked in dust as well as the microwave, the stove top was dirty ... so I cleaned that and wiped down the counter tops... top of refrigerator is still the same... and I have photos as well....

Lovely 1BR condo with fabulous long range mountain view.
Loved: the view!! having a fireplace and grill, very comfortable bed, close to hiking, local shopping and wineries. Elevator access was also a plus when moving in/out. Very reasonable price, especially during fall color weeks. Comfortable/lovely indoor furniture.
Would highly recommend (2): With the fantastic view, our wish was to stay on the large veranda for morning coffee, happy hour, meals and to relax.

The place was very clean and perfect size for us three. Wifi was great, washer and dryer awesome, The grill was fantastic, bed mattresses were very comfortable, Fireplace amazing, main TV over the fireplace was perfect. Since this is a one bedroom, I think the linens (sheets, blankets and pillows) could have been higher quality. Also drapes in bedroom are thin and had gaps. We had to use hair clips to hold them together for our stay so that our room was not exposed and could stay dark. There should be darkening shades or darkening drapes of some kind.
Instructions on NEST thermostat should be included as well as timer on outdoor grill light (it would come on a
