Description: Enjoy a beautiful view of mountain living from this rugged timber frame one bedroom condo located in Chalakee, within Echota Resorts. This condo features a covered front entry and rear deck with an amazing Grandfather Mountain view. The view can be admired from the deck or from the large picture windows in the open kitchen and living room areas. The kitchen features custom kitchen cabinetry, granite countertops, hardwood floors, and stainless-steel appliances. It is fully equipped with everything to prepare a meal inside or outside on the built-in-gas grill. The living room is cozy and inviting with a cultured stone gas fireplace, hardwood floors, comfortable furniture and a TV. Stay for a weekend to relax or an extended period and enjoy all the High Country has to offer. This condo is on the bottom floor (downstairs) with an elevator. In case of power outages or elevator equipment malfunctions, the condo will be stair access only.
Resorts' Amenities: Amenities in these gated resorts include indoor and outdoor (seasonal May 1 - Oct. 1) swimming pools with hot tubs, two private clubhouses, fitness rooms, stocked fishing ponds, a 23-acre riverfront park, community hiking trails and catch and release fishing.

We really enjoyed staying in your lodge with beautiful views of mountains.
Only thing we felt pretty inconvenient was that our bathroom sink was something wrong and water did not go through. You really should repair this.
Oh, another thing! Inside of the kitchen disposal was terribly dirty. I believe your cleaning people never paid attention cleaning this place.

The fireplace pilot light was out, we called property management to re-light it and they were out the next day; the shower drains very slowly; the can opener needs to be replaced. Comfortable condo. We enjoyed our stay.
When we arrived, the pathway leading to the building was icy. I would have thought it would be kept clear to eliminate the risk of falls.

We enjoyed our stay. Had an excellent view. Lodge was secluded and quiet - got plenty of R & R. Property was well-maintained and there were no surprises except for the TV being dated (no-internet based TV).

1) While the view of Grandfather Mountain is currently great, unless the trees are topped, the view will be gone in a few years.
2) The outdoor furniture is functional for eating; but, very uncomfortable for sitting and relaxing.
We would likely not stay at this unit again unless there are 2 comfortable outdoor chairs.
3) We apologize (again) for getting our check out date wrong. Perhaps, having an automatic text message sent out to each renter, the night before and the morning of the required check

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay. This property has the absolute best view of Grandfather Mountain! It was perfect for 2 people. The only thing I wish it had was a better mattress. We put a mattress topper on top of the mattress topper it already had. Other than that, absolutely wonderful!

I enjoyed my time at Chalakee Lodge. The view was beautiful. The condo suited my needs. There were some issues that needed attention and I left a note in the return key envelope. There was limited glassware.
My main negative was your insistence that supplies were enough for 2 nights. I stayed for 4 nights and paid a lot of money for those nights. Having limited supplies felt - chintzy actually. Also, there was no hand soap in the kitchen. If I pay for 4 nights, I want adequate supplies for the full time.

We absolutely LOVED the condo and our time spent there. This is a beautiful unit with everything (and more) than we expected.
One note - the internet is not password protected, although the instructions were given WITH a password. Just thought you might want to check? It was quite slow at times, so maybe others were using it?

We were generally pleased with the property with 2 exceptions. Drinking glasses need to be added. Only 3 tall glasses and no short/cocktail glasses. The bigger issue is the grill. We booked this specific unit because it had a gas grill. While we managed to use it, burners were out, and it did not function appropriately. Things like this should be checked to make sure they are functioning properly between each stay.

The condo and view were beautiful! Our one complaint will keep us from renting again. The bed was really uncomfortable and the pillows were pancake thin. That was very surprising because everything else about the condo was above average.

My stay was delightful! My unit offered the privacy and seclusion I desired. I took the opportunity to explore all the grounds and each area offered just a little something different.
I was interested in returning next summer to the Chalakee area again in a 2 BR but was disappointed to hear the new units on Falcon Trc are not available for rental. Please let me know if that changes.Thank you!!

Loved the property it was an amazing view , loved the condo and location , loved the pool area. Only issue was the bed was super firm - too firm for us- an overlay pad would be good if offered for those who do not do well with a firm mattress.

I absolutely loved our stay! The view and condo was even better than the pictures portrayed. I really enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the views of the mountains and reading a book. The bed was a little too hard for my liking and the couch wasn't my favorite but the greatness of everything else overshadowed that. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Having a reading light in the LR that was operating at the time of our stay would have made relaxing in the evenings a bit better. Also a small bench by the front door for taking off shoes and coats would have been a great addition. Other than that the condo & development met all of our expectations!

- One suggestion would be to get better steak/cutting knives. The ones in the kitchen felt somewhat unsteady and were difficult to use.

Pillows were awful, but everything else was great.
May want to improve the directions and map given out, it did not correspond very well to the actual trail.
Never was able to get wifi, and my att phone did not work, should have been told ahead of my visit.

;We loved the condo. Would recommend a more comfortable sofa (it felt like a futon). Also , maybe a (narrow) sofa table behind the sofa with a lamp for reading. We're over 65 and love to read in the evening but need good reading light. Overall, it was very pleasant and we hope to return.
My husband was unable to use his Ipad in the condo although he got access in the club house. Being able to use his ipad in the condo would be preferable.
